The Company is called WyvernHealth.Com , drawing upon the heraldic emblem , the wyvern , with which Somerset is associated. There is a Board of seven GPs and one Practice manager who are tasked with steering its direction.

The priority was recognised to be Unscheduled Care and a six pronged plan was researched
to try and generate Freed up Resource to allow more local projects to evolve in the future.
These strands are being actioned by the PCT with Primary Care leads and we hope they will
begin over the next few months in a phased way. Ensuring they achieve their potential is
a key monitoring function of WyvernHealth.Com. (details of the plan are to be found in
the Papers section of the website)
Once the financial benefits are realised then the exciting task of commissioning new
pathways can begin. Planning for these has to start now and communication with all
stakeholders commence.
Provision of services is not going to be a function of WyvernHealth.com.There may be
a shift in Practice opinion in the future but the agenda is Commissioning and the consortium will follow that mandate.
This website will evolve as PBC evolves. Any feedback from Consortium members will be greatly appreciated and we want to be proactive rather than reactive.
